The Japan Employment Providers of the Philippines & Consultants' Association (JEPPCA) welcomed representatives of the Research Institute of the Japan Finance Corporation (JFC) for a dialogue on the current landscape and future direction of Filipino employment in Japan.

The discussion provided an opportunity for JEPPCA to share the Philippine recruitment industry's perspectives on labor mobility between the Philippines and Japan. Topics included JEPPCA's role in promoting ethical recruitment, recent deployment trends, Philippine government policies, Japan's worker acceptance systems, motivations of Filipinos seeking employment in Japan, and the common concerns of workers before and after deployment.

The exchange also covered expectations for Japanese employers, career pathways available to Filipino workers, and policy recommendations to further strengthen worker protection, skills development, and the long-term Philippines–Japan labor partnership, particularly as Japan transitions to its new Employment for Skill Development (ESD) framework.

JEPPCA reaffirmed its commitment to promoting responsible recruitment, continuous industry learning, and close collaboration with government agencies and Japanese stakeholders to ensure that employment opportunities in Japan remain safe, ethical, and mutually beneficial for workers and employers alike.
